It took us 13 hours (and 13 years) to move to New York City. Apartment hunting hell and job hunting during recession was part of the deal of moving to the greatest city in the world. The challenges are worth every amazing experience we’ve had here. There’s always something to do. There’s never enough time. Roaming around the streets here is pure joy. This is our personal NYC story.

Missing New York
We're missing New York City so badly. We should be back to doing more posts once we move into our new apartment in a few days.

Bronze Subway Creatures
This is why we loved our subway stop - these whimsical and cartoon-like Bronze sculptures depicting the "impossibility of understanding life in New York" called Life Underground by Tom Otterness (2001). It was like Fraggle Rock at 14th Street and 8th Ave. Hopefully these guys helped to ease the pains of a hard day for many New Yorkers as it did for us.

Washington Square Park
A crowded and hot summer at Washington Square Park.

There's always great free jazz all over the city. We saw this red head bassist all over, mostly at subway stops.

Pizza Land
You know you aint in New York anymore when you don't walk past a dozen pizza signs during a ten-minute walk.
