We ended our picnic in the park with lots of water and ice cream, of course. Why do weekends go by so fast?
It took us 13 hours (and 13 years) to move to New York City. Apartment hunting hell and job hunting during recession was part of the deal of moving to the greatest city in the world. The challenges are worth every amazing experience we’ve had here. There’s always something to do. There’s never enough time. Roaming around the streets here is pure joy. This is our personal NYC story.

Sunnyside Up
Sunday picnic. Picked up lunch from nearby Zabar's. We lied around, read books, saw dragonflies, and felt like we were eggs on a frying pan. It was a hot hot day.
We loved that it wasn't crowded and we had our private space.
I had the song "Saturday in the park" stuck in my head - Saturday in the park, I think it was the fourth of July. People dancing, people laughing. A man selling ice cream. People talking, really smiling. A man playing guitar. And I've been waiting such a long time. For today.
