Today was the coldest day we've experienced so far in NYC and it's not even the dead of Winter. It felt like Siberia. It was very hard walking around in the painful chill. Everyone on the streets were layered and bundled up like the kid in the Christmas Story. We're still trying to figure out how to keep our face warm without looking like we're off to rob a bank.
Having to take off the hat, scarf, gloves, and coat when you get inside, then having to put it all back on again, then repeating the process each time you walk into a store or a restaurant is a bit of a nuisance and something us warm climate folks are trying to adjust to. The funny part is once we're home, we're in T-shirts and shorts because our steam heater, which is controlled by the building, makes our apartment feel like summertime.
And what's going on with the static electricity and shocks?
